Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer of OHLA USA, Ashok is responsible for the operations and activities of OHLA in the United States. He provides executive leadership to the company’s divisions and serves as the primary U.S. liaison with OHLA Group, headquartered in Madrid, Spain. Ashok joined OHLA USA’s northeastern division, Judlau Contracting, Inc., as Vice President in 2009 and was promoted to President in 2010. He oversaw Judlau’s growth in its home market in New York and the company’s expansion into other states, including New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, Maryland, and Virginia. In 2016, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of OHLA USA and was promoted to CEO in 2017.
Before joining Judlau, Ashok worked at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) New York City Transit and MTA Capital Construction for more than 23 years, managing dozens of large capital infrastructure projects from planning to design and construction for the agency with a combined value of over $5 billion.
Ashok holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Indore in India and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University in New York. Ashok is an active member of the Moles, an organization of professionals engaged in the construction of tunnels.
