Our subsidiary, OHLA Building, Inc., oversaw construction on this $110 million contract for this first-of-its-kind facility, located on 20 acres of agricultural land in Homestead, Florida. The Salmon Farm building is a 367,000-square-foot structure with two fully recessed loading docks and 31,000 square feet of warehouse space.

The Salmon Grow-out facility has a total production capacity of approximately 12,000 tons per year of salmon weighing 12-15 pounds each. The project included overseeing the installation of an on-growing tank recirculating system, each with a capacity greater than 450,000 gallons; a 3,000-foot-deep injection well, a monitor well, two 2,000-foot-deep saltwater wells, and two freshwater wells. Also included in the scope of work is the construction of 24,000 square feet of office facilities.

Atlantic Sapphire's sustainable Atlantic Salmon Brand utilizes cutting-edge Oceanus "BLUEHOUSE" technology to provide ideal living conditions to create optimum Atlantic salmon growth while removing negative impacts to the environment.

This state-of-the-art aquaculture facility will revolutionize farm-raised salmon's hatching, growing, and processing in the United States. This innovative project is expected to be the world's largest land-raised salmon farm. By 2031, Atlantic Sapphire is targeted to produce 220,000 tons of salmon per year.
