Painting of Elevated Structures on the #7 Line

  • Home

  • Project Details

Our subsidiary, Judlau Contracting, Inc., carried out this $42 million project that called for the scraping, cleaning, and painting the steel and select station elements on the elevated #7 line in Flushing, Queens. The heavily traveled subway line runs to and from Manhattan and Queens. The job encompassed subway structure modifications from 48th Street to 72nd Street.

In addition to the painting portion of the project’s scope of work, Judlau performed extensive concrete and steel column repairs, plumbing, heat tracing, and drainage upgrades within the same limits. The contract also included the construction, installation, and removal of a 350,000-square-foot temporary work platform underneath the existing track structure to access the overhead work.
