OHL USA climbs 15 points in the 2015 ENR The Top 400 Contractors ranking
OHL USA now ranks 55th in the 2015 ENR Top 400 Contractors ranking, fifteen points more than in 2014. This classification, issued by the specialized construction sector publication Engineering News Record (ENR), gathers and classifies USA’s 400 top contractors, by procurement revenues.
Furthermore, this publication has ranked OHL USA 16th in The Top 50 Domestic Heavy Contractors list, gathering the top fifty local contractors; 21st in The Top 50 Contractors Working Abroad list, which classifies the top 50 contractors operating abroad; and 39th in The Top 100 Contractors by New Contracts list, including the one hundred largest contractors by new contracts achieved.
Recently, OHL USA has completed the most complex phase in the Water Siphon project (Water Siphons between Brooklyn and Staten Island), which was awarded in 2011 to open up the port of New York City to megavessel traffic, also improving drinking water supply to the Staten Island district.
The OHL Group holds a prominent position in the US construction market, where it has been present since 2006 after it acquired, in the State of Florida, the local construction companies Community Asphalt and OHL Building, subsequently joined by Arellano Construction, Stride Constructors and BCA. Later, OHL entered the construction market in the State of New York through an alliance, as a strategic partner, with the NY construction company Judlau Contracting, which enjoys widespread and renowned prestige in the construction of civil works infrastructures (tunnels, roads, bridges and subways) in New York.
